who in the world adds milk to dal???

must be a south indian preparation since I have never heard of it in north indian states. ANyway thanks for the recipe..

Hi shivani,
When you are soaking the moong dal try soaking it in hot water and cover it with lid. If you want to soak it well and quickly try soaking it in a hot box. And also try adding extra cups of water. Hope you will find this useful.

Hey Shriya… I really like your moong dal recipe… I do have one question.. I get green moong dal from Indian store.. and I soak it overnight in lots of water ( arnd 4 cups of water in one cup moong dal) but the next day only upper layer of the dal is fluffy.. dal at the bottom does not change at all.. it still reamins hard… can you suggest how should I soak the dal??
