Ingredients:
- Spinach - 150 g
- Coconut - 1/2 cup
- Red chillies - 3
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Channa dal - 1 1/2 tsp
- Pepper - 1 tsp
Method:
- Add spinach to boiling water and let it cook for few mins.
- Heat oil and add cumin seeds, channa dal, red chillies and fry them till channa dal turns golden brown.
- Add coconut to the above mixture, fry for a few seconds and keep it aside.
- Once spinach is half cooked, grind it coarsely.
- Grind the coconut mixture separately.
- Mix them together and allow them to boil for 2 - 3 mins.
Serve hot with white rice.
