It’s been a very long time I’ve posted any recipes. I am really sorry about my sparse posting. My new year resolution is to be more active here and bring you lot more recipes from my kitchen. When I first came to U.S one of my first  favorite Mexican dish was Quesadilla. We just bought this quesadilla maker in the Thanksgiving shopping. Before that I used to bake this in a conventional oven but Quesadilla maker has made my life easier.  Try this easy Quesadilla recipe and let me know how it turned out. Yesterday I was wondering what to cook for dinner. I had lots of bread sitting in my pantry. So I was browsing for a sandwich recipe. I came through a lot of recipe and got confused which one to make. Finally I came up with this dish called ‘Grilled Veggie Bread’. My husband and I liked it so  much. It is healthy and I would definitely make it again.  It was even tasty without cheese. Few healthy tips for today

Now a days most of us have become diet conscious and concerned about body weight and health. Today, I would like to share a few tips with that I know. It may help you to consume less calories and improve your health. Rice: Instead of steam cooking the rice, add raw rice to boiling water (measurement- 1:2 ½), wait till the rice is cooked and drain the starch (excess water). This way you will consume less carbohydrate. This is just like in the olden days. Papad/Indian flatbread: Try to make papad in oven which will be tasty and oil free. Microwave the papad for 1 minute.
